I agree with those that said the fretboard radius & jumbos make a big difference- One thing I didn't mention, but is obvious, is that the tone of the guitar also makes me *SOUND* like a better player.

aa good jackson is definately conducive to more precise playing. i can play my strat fine and i love it, but there's something about the woods on jackson and the sound of a humbucker that makes my vibrato and the way i hit notes nicer, and the width of the neck and fretboard make legato easier , higher frets are also easier to play on

I just got my first Jackson and it is the best playing guitar I have. My other guitars are a Les Paul Studio, and an ESP MX-II
