You were expecting a new shape (i was not)? You were expecting some new unheard of configuration (uh, what would that be)?

i think a lot of people were expecting some more options, something more in the japanese line to go with the rr 24 and sl3, more mid priced guitars that were not a 40 qiud import but not a 2000 quid US and more guitars with maple boards. that answer ur question? do u always sound like a rude sod when u speak?

Ok. Just checking. I thought your op seemed a bit bitter. It just seems that there isn't a whole lot of innovation to be had in guitar production. With J/C in the hands of FMIC, don't expect them to stray from the current formula too much. New effects, new amps; that's a whole hell of a lot easier to work out.

:ROTF: I guess so, huh? Takes one to know one? Pardon me, I hadn't had my mid-morning tea yet.

its frustation. kind of like when your favorite team sucks because the owner wont make a move to improve the team. they just roll in the money for a sub par team counting on your passion to keep coming.

Well, take Rolex for example. Perhaps the most recognized watch in history. If you have a Rolex from 1950 it can look nearly new, and the new Rolex looks EXTREMELY similar to the old. Why change a good thing? Jackson made a great product, the whole industry began copying the "Super Strat." Why change it? You've also got the Dinky, the Warrior, the Rhoads, the King V, the Strat, the Kelly. Who needs 40 models?! Give me a vintage Jackson any day, and I'm made in the shade.
                      "Got a crazy feeling I don't understand,
                      Gotta get away from here.
Feelin' like I shoulda kept my feet on the ground
Waitin' for the sun to appear..."

It would have been nice to see the Kahler fixed on some of the models..

That bridge was (according to many) one of the best fixed bridges.

Seriously, what an utter dissapointment I have for Jackson at this years Namm.

So, while every other guitar Manufacturer is introducing many new models, all Jackson has to show for is more custom guitars that are priced insanely high.

Haven't they figured out that the majority of their sales come from the import line?
They should target their audience which are the ones who mostly buy imports.

I like to look at the bright side myself but there isnt one. Your right for sure. Their competition (Ibanez, BCR, ESP) change things up each year. Jackson seemed to not even try. How hard would it be to throw maple board necks on some more of your import line? I am sure they will say wait till summer Namm, but that is really lame.
