I guess if I would get enough requests for them it might be worth it so let me know what you think on this ok? Maybe also let me know what you'd be willing to give for these? They will be the exact same size and all the features of the originals except the pebbly grained finish, that usually wore to a shiny surface after awhile anyway. They will actually be a better ring too because they would be solid and not just a hollow shell. The surface will have a nice "flat black" appearance much like EMG's. I'll get pictures of mine on here when it is done.
Just a thought,

By the way, if this wrong of me to do here, or I put this in the wrong forum, I appologize ahead of time.

Seriously, I think the EMG version won't be a problem as it seems more and more people are interested. I appreciate the blueprint!

I'd be interested in metal ones, both black and chrome.

I got a PM through the board.
Could be Yahoo's spam filter?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Hey there Newc,
No, my actual Private messaging page on this forum doesn't work. When I try to go that page it shows that I have a message waiting but right under that it shows the main page of the forum and gives me this error:

I've contact the admins numerous times but there not doing anything about(no disrespect) or they have other things that are more serious to deal with at the moment.
Thanks for your help though,

Re: Update with Pic! Pickup Mounting Ring replacements ??

Dave,

This is the EMG deal:

size: 38mm x 70 mm

Distance between the centers of the screws: 77 mm

That defines the geometry fully, or does it not?...

This is just the stardard dimension of any modern humbucker...

I am giving you the dimensions in metric just to annoy you...

Rodrigo:
You may want to check your center distance between your height adjustment screw holes again. Seriously, I'd hate to make one of these for you and have it be wrong. I'm getting a center distance of around 3.065 which would be equivalent to about 78mm. Please check it physically with a set of calipers if you have them and get back to me because I checked alot of different humbuckers now and they are all between 3.065 to 3.070 and if your holes are off by .035 thousandths then the pickup won't mount properly.
Let me know ok?
Thanks,

again, I am just a stupid engineer and can't seem to be able to use a caliper..

I believe your measurement better than mine...

Ah .... now that explains a lot... See being a master machinist I have a very good idea how how engineers think .. and now that you mention it ..you do follow that path .
