You guys know what goes on here...what changed? Threads were deleted in the past, today and you can bet your ass they'll get deleted in future.

I guess if ya'l don't like the way this place is ran get the fuck out and dont let the door hit you in the ass... go somewhere else that suits you....start your own board or whatever cause we all know bitching about it will never change a thing.

Soap opera drama suck on all the boards imho and there seems to be a lot of it...which is cool for me because I'm spending less and less time on em never realized how much time I wasted on the boards before until I stayed away for awhile

Funny, seems I've been reading a bunch of responses that are simply asking for clarification on these expenses so people know where their money is going. I don't see how that's bitching, not being appreciative, etc.

You know, people have calmly asked this question, and it's obviously met with fury from you guys. Seriously, the only time in these threads the lowly members have gotten upset is because their concerns are CONSTANTLY being disregarded by the same people who apparently need contributions to keep this site afloat. Every other response from an admin, however, has been breathing fire and there wouldn't even BE this debate if you'd just be straight with us.

I already paid, because I like this forum and the people here. If you want to submit me to my peers for TEH BANS~! or whatever, fine. This is just confirming my belief (as stated the first time this came about) that there would be a division between paying and non-paying members, where those who haven't paid "don't care" or "don't contribute anything", or whatever other bullshit it is.

And yet no one can adequately justify the question of "where does the money go?". "Inquiring Minds" and "I'm just asking" are not justification. I don't care where "they" spent the money I paid, I know what it got ME, and that's all that matters.

Does anyone I've sold a guitar to want to know what I did with the money? Tough sh*t, really, you got the guitar, so butt out of my personal business.

2 quick questions

1) Is it bad if someone is making money off this board? Why or why not?

2) If your employer asked you how you spent the money he paid you, would you feel obligated to provide a comprehensive accounting? Why or why not?

Addressing the "it's the people who make the board great, not the admins" argument- Why do people go out to bars and clubs? It sure as hell ain't for the beer- It's for the people who are there, hot chicks, friends, whatever. Does that bar owner owe you something? Hell no. Does the bar owner have the right to kick you out, whether "fairly" or not? Hell yes.

But you have the ultimate power- not going to his shitty bar anymore and not putting up with his shit, and he's a big enough dick to enough people he won't have a bar anymore.

Freedom baby! If you don't like it, ya don't have to stay. And if Jeremy's so wrong and you're so right, I am sure that you'll have literally hundreds of members to your new site instantly who feel the same way.

So why don't you do so? Too much of a pain in the ass?

You pay your platinum jcf request, you get your platinum jcf perks.(Not why I paid, but whatever)

You don't pay, you don't get them.

How much more simple could it be? When you pay your water bill, do you know how much every employee is getting, their operating costs, and what percentage is profit?

The only difference here is, they don't cut you off if you don't pay.

Isnt this a non-issue?

In many respects I agree with you Shawn. But I don't get water from the water company except through my payments. I am not at the water company every day trying to lend a hand. Which is what a lot of people do here. Because of that many people feel a certain level of ownership here. That knowledge is an asset to this board. I think the Administration should acknowledge that and the members need to know that this board does not belong to them.

Yikes, threads like this is making me have a flashback of when Harmony Central was the forum I spent the most of my time. Glad it's not that bad yet, but honestly once I found out about JCF, I had no need to go back to that soap opera.
