So when are these getting released? Anyone got a clue?
What I really want to see for this KV5, is:
    Neck through
    String through
White binding on neck and headstock
    White body, black bevels
No inlays on an ebony board will be cool too.

A natural finish with white binding seems tasty as well.

I don't understand why they just don't take a J1 and throw a TOM on it.

5 - 1 volume, 1 3-way blade (or toggle), 1 coil tap for the neck, NO TONE

If they made something like that, I'd buy 20
what is the advantage(or difference) of having Poplar as opposed to Alder, tone wise?

In my opinion, they are very close with regard to tone. Even overall weight is very similar, Alder being the lighter of the two. So I guess for me I could go either way.

                          A KS5 would be the bee's knees.

Please, 24 frets on the KV5!

Neckthru 24 fret is a MUST!! And PLEASE NO BLACK BINDING!!! I think most would agree with me on that. Fixed bridge would be AWESOME too (Kahler, or a TOM/stringthru. Either would be sweet) if possible.

Pickup arrangement isn't such a big deal, but if they have the above specs I will be ALL over one, as I am sure many people would. My fixed bridge King V Pro is the best guitar I've ever played. Hands down. And it's been my dream that Jackson would have something similar in production at some point in the future so I could buy NEW. Hell, even if it had a Floyd I'd buy one. The big thing for me is that it HAS to be 24 fret and have white binding. I know binding is a trivial thing, but I am picky about the look and feel of my guitars

Make it S/S/S pickup configuration, with a Bigsby trem, and tortoise shell pickguard.

                                That would be awesome!
