Yikes, with all the crap I have been going through with guitars and UPS, my stories are nothing in comparison! I feel for you and hope you get this corrected straight away! Damn! This is crazy! Best wishes to you!

Night On Brocken... that was a pretty cool first album for Fates Warning.

This isn't Jackson's problem. This is Matt's problem, and UPS's problem

You send the guitar back to Matt, you get your money back. Matt files an insurance claim, he gets the guitar value from UPS.

After this, a new one gets ordered.

Keep in mind that insurance only covers list prices on guitars, and not customs. If the forms say "custom" on them you are entitled to a capped amount of (I believe) $500.

Question: Where is the guitar now?

Matt said me they insured the guitar enough to cover the cost of a replacement.
I never saw the replacement and I know nothing about the first one after UPS takes it back.
The only thing I know actually is about Jackson who trying to get the Guitar Asylum one for Matt...

                To be continued...

                  Pretty obvious you can't

Too was translated as 'too much', as opposed to 'me too'. I'm guessing you put in 'I can use the google translator too'.

I'm confused as to where the fault may lie in this. So Matts music said they placed a custom shop order to replace the broken guitar in 2004? Don't they send you a work order # and other stuff when they accept the order? Did you ever recieve that info?
If you did, I think the fault is clearly with Jackson. If not, I think it could be with Matt's and/or Jackson. Hope it all works out for you in the end.

We shipped this guitar almost 3 years ago and UPS didn't just damage it... they completely destroyed it. We did a damage claim with UPS and immediately reordered the guitar from Jackson, several times, and every time Ludovic asked me about the rebuild I'd send an email to Jackson requesting an update, yet after all this time there's still no guitar and I have no idea why it was never rebuilt.

I asked Jackson if they could arrange for the guitar at Guitar Asylum to be moved over to us and at this point I haven't received an answer. I just emailed Guitar Asylum directly and will keep you guys posted on where this goes from here.

How does that work with a NAMM piece, though? Wouldn't the guitar cost more than the one at Guitar Asylum that's not a NAMM piece, or would it be similar?

Ah, okay. I thought NAMM pieces got a higher pricetag for being at the show.
