Had a meeting on 48th Street yesterday so I decided to stop by Sam Ash & Manny's just to see what was up. Was surprised to see no USA Jacksons in Sam Ash- bunch of DK2's, DK2M's, RR3-5's, but no USA. Stepped outside & glanced at the window display (didn't look on the way it, was snowing & I was getting soaked) and it was all Jackson/Charvel, all the time.
A RR1 white with pins, a RR1 Bengal, a RR1 black ghost flames, a Charvel crossed swords, and a Charvel crossed swords with a skeletonized fighter pilot holding a bomb. Got a shot of that one with my camera phone- if it came out OK through the window I'll put it up tonight.
Wassup wid dat? No more grungy-cool guitars in the window? This is NYC!! All of a sudden Jackson/Charvel gets center stage??????
I weep because my days of nailing brand new SL1's for $1200 are probably over......
