K - I'm sure you understand, I have no issue with the body or anyone having to sign up for the Platinum Membership to get it. My comment was basically saying that I love the graphic, but for reasons that I'd rather not get into, I'm in no way signing up as a Platinum Member. (huh huh, I said "Platinum Member")

Great perk for those who have. And kudos for Mike and Slash for going above and beyond.

Todd, that wasn't directed at your comment about not signing up, i didn't take that as a negative at all. It was more based around the "It isn't free but that's another bitch altogether" comment ...Honestly I could care less about the Platinum thing, I'm not down with it at all. But it simply isn't right to not give those guys their due either ... Sorry if anyone feels that is wrong

Look, this is living proof that nothing here will EVER satisfy the whole membership. More so people for whatever reason love to criticize and complain.. Eh it is what it is. I only felt bad that both Mike and Denny did something cool and some people were slightly robbing them of their moment .. heck it could have been a daisy rock guitar for crying out loud ..

The way I look at it is these 2 guys are not getting paid for this so to me this body was done as a labor of love for us.
Labor of love= Mucho Mojo ( no pun intended) in that body.

Honestly guys, Denny and I are just trying to help this place out. I could have easily paid the 20 bucks....I mean, really, 3 drinks at the bar, 5 gallons of gas, 4 packs or strings, two tickets at the movies, just 20 bucks to offer support. I thought this would be the best way I could help show my support and thanks for such a great place full of diversity and different taste. If some ones wins it and hates it, I'm sure it will be worth a few hundred bucks on E-bay. I was going to degloss it, but will leave it as an option to the winner as to it being buffed or semi-gloss.

Think of it as a way for the guys here who run the site to say thanks to those who have offered support with the membeship drive. I personally know it cost money to run a forum like this. I have a monster of my own at learnairbrush.com. I know that it has been a can of worms here. I'm not trying to open it. This is just my way of saying thanks. I know that no matter what I would have painted on it, there would be peeps who don't dig it. Im not offended really. Just damned if I do....and damned if I don't.

Hey Guys,
I would be glad to do a matching headstock for you guys or restore an existing headstock on a neck of your choosing if you wish to send it to me. Which ever you choose. The neck psket is cut for a jackson/charvel neck. I would love to see the completed product. I did one for myself on one of my guitars and will post the image later.

Mike, that's very cool of you to offer up the matching headstock. BTW, I apologize if you thought I was bitching in any way. I was just poking fun at the symbolism. The work you guys did is clearly top notch and contributing like that is truly a wonderful gift. I just reacted to the graphic pretty negatively and didn't mean to be harsh on your efforts at all.

FWIW, I dig most of your work. Skulls and fire are always cool. The Celtic Tele you did a couple years ago was awesome. I just really don't like stripper stuff, drug symbols, and devils and I'm neither a prude, "T" totaller, or a Christian - it always seems soooo corny to me.

The thing that bugs me is that if one of you guys cut a track and put it in the MP3 area you would be highly offended if someone told you that you sucked or whatever.

You are obviously correct because that already *has* happened on the JCF in the MP3 section many times. Plenty more people have had their guitar art work poked fun at here - just ask Newc. What about Shadoe? People have been brutal to her here. And I've had plenty of people tell me my guitars were "ghey", "fugly", etc. - some were my design, some not. I've certainly seen my professional work bashed here on a semi-frequent basis.

Eh, maybe I'm overly sensitive on the subject but all art in its form is a bare way of putting yourself out there. Being harsh can sting and make people skittish about sharing their art. I'm in no way saying that ya cant be negative or dislike something, but there's a huge difference between constructive criticism and some of the stuff I've seem Unfortunately musicians tend to have huge egos ..
