  • Help Identify Jackson Rising Sun

Jackson Strat body with Rising Sun design
Bolt on neck San Dimas plate, serial 6945
22 fret maple fretboard, black headstock with white Jackson made in USA logo
    Floyd Rose tremolo
Two single coil, one humbucker (bridge) all Jackson with raised logo
One volume knob, three individual pickup switch toggles.

Looking at the USA serial charts list says serials 1506-7903 are Ontario 1987-1989. Does that mean they used San Dimas plate but made in Ontario? All signs tell me it's an original, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Marco

Yes. 1506 - 7903 were made in Ontario, but with leftover San Dimas plates, and the plate numbers weren't sequential after the move to Ontario, so you can't narrow the date down by the serial #. It's probably fine, but if you want to post pics, maybe we can help.

Looks good! Love that dark maple board and the yellowing. Lots of mojo. If the price is right, grab it. Or, if it's already yours, congrats!

Welcome to the Board. And your guitar the way it looks is why I don't like new guitars. Old guitars just look better.
I am a true ass set to this board.

Not sure how just any old picture would determine the date, especially for one that was made when "everything was a Custom".

Remove the neck and see if there's a date written in the neck pocket or on the heel.

I only meant we might be able to rule out a fake or maybe a mutt if he was concerned about that.
