  • Relegated to the rack...

Today I visited two guitar shops. One of the local shops has a section with a big wall where they display all of the higher end guitars the store carries. This is where the USA Jacksons used to hang. The cheaper Korean, Indonesian, etc guitars go on the racks on the floor. This store just started carrying ESP and they have taken the place of the Jacksons on the wall. I was surprised to find a brand new USA SL2 hanging on the racks with the cheaper guitars.

Visited store #2. Brand new Jackson DK1 graphic finish marked down to $1500 CDN because it has been there so long. Same thing with a copperhead finished Charvel.

Outside of JCF land no one wants these guitars.

Yea jacksons aren't the most popular guitars , me personally , i cant play anything else and i find that jackson lovers are pretty loyal , but asides from us most ppl aren't really into them.

I'm not complaining. Imagine how much more expensive Jacksons would be if they were as popular as ESP right now.

I've owned over 200 guitars and have had the pleasure of playing many more then that. For the last 28 years I've tried but have never found a better guitar than my 85 Soloist custom. I'm am more than happy to still on a occaution to find a deal on Jackson , Schon or Charvel. I think that might end, as people other than on this board start to realize just how good these guitars are.
