                        I spent 3 years out there while I was in the Army back in 83-86

                        The singular best possible place to live in the world (in terms of weather... cost of living is another thread)

                        Winter: 65-68 degrees
                        Summer: 68-70 degrees

                        I freakin' LOVED it there.

                        Actually lived in Salinas, and commuted to my Army job at the time.

                                The winters have been fairly cold here (for our standards) with days getting in the mid 50's and nights getting as low as high 20's. The summers, however, seemed to have warmed up a little. We had a few high 80's low 90's days here and there. The autumn season is the absolute best.

                                Now....on to that cost of living thread...
