    My take...

For what it's worth, and it's simply my opinion, but...

I WOULD NEVER ORDER A CUSTOM GUITAR AGAIN FROM JACKSON/CHARVEL/FENDER.

My credentials are as follows: I've bought/sold/collected Charvel Jackson guitars since 1984 and I've owned more than 200 of the same....old and new...and since Fender bought the company, I've seen nothing but declining quality, continual price increases, jacked up orders and VERY LITTLE customer service from both the company and it's so-called dealers to back it up.

For my money, I'll stick to buying older (pre-1990) Charvel/Jacksons and here's why:

    1) You KNOW you'll be getting a quality guitar
    2) You'll be getting a BARGAIN, especially when compared to today's inflated 'Custom Shop' pricing.
    3) You won't have to wait 2 years or more.

I say all of this as one the brands biggest fans and supporters since 1984.

    Your mileage may vary.

Gotta agree with Hellraiser. I'll go to the mid 90s though. Post Grover era, but still fine guitars IMO.
