Hi all, I have a Jackson Custom with a 4 digit number on the back and am trying to find the history of it but up to now I have had no luck. If anybody could help, that would be great.
Cheers, Pete.
1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom

Jackson DK2M Inferno Red
Jackson DK2M With a Learn Custom Paint Job
Jackson DKMGT (project)

Ibanez SDGR Bass
Ovation Celebrity

From that serial, I'd say it was from 87 or 88. Why can't you upload a pic? Without a more detailed description or a pic, there's not alot else anyone can tell you, unless it should happen that someone here used to own the guitar....
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get
4 digits is a bolt on, not a Soloist. (Plus he says the number is "on the back") Of course the Soloists would have the letter "J" then the numbers, stamped into the front.
"Got a crazy feeling I don't understand,
Gotta get away from here.
Feelin' like I shoulda kept my feet on the ground
Waitin' for the sun to appear..."
for some reason it wont let me do attachments. the guitar has 22 frets,a bolt on neck, black body with 1 eye on it,2 double pick-ups and a (jackson) floyd rose trem.would it be poss to e-mail you a photo.
cheers.

Just upload the picture somewhere and then link it here... that's what we all do..
