Help!

I recently bought a used duncan Sh-4, it was pulled out from the bridge position, but im gonna use it in the neck position.
Problem is that the cables are way to short, so, can i just solder some extra cable on to the existing cables, or won't they work if i do so?

Sure you can.
It will work just fine.
Make sure to heat shrink your splice.
