I wish you all the best regardless, Matt. Sometimes you just do what you gotta do.

x10 There seem to be so few and far between. I'm in teh northeast and besides Matt's up in Boston, there are a couple on Long Island and that's all I know of. NONE of the places near me carry anything but import Jacksons.

Many people have mentioned alternatives. Moser, IMO, is a GREAT company, but the designs are, frankly, ridiculous. BCR? As a long time fan, I'm on the fence about the new incarnation. It seems everything they have now under $1300 is shit, judging by what I've been reading all over the net. And their CS is $$$$$. Bernie Jr. is making just amazing guitars. But, again, his prices are $$$.

Sorry to hear this Matt. I'm shocked this would happen given you are very highly reputable dealer. This is a bad sign coming from Fender. Maybe Jackson would have been better off in Mustaine's hands after all.

Yup, that one came through here and I remember it well. Originally it came in and the headstock wasn't attached to the neck (oops!), then it was rebuilt incorrectly, but the customer accepted it regardless.

wow did you put that neck pickup in? I was sure that they were all "One Hum" I was trying to remember what kind of humbucker you put in that thing. I think we have the only 2 left on the planet

The bridge is a Distortion Trembucker, not sure what I put in the neck but I did it years ago. Also put on Sperzel's and a graphite nut when I first scored it in 97.

                    • Have you (or any of the other dealers who may be reading) ever thought of US Masters guitars? That V looks interesting... the fret access should be great with the body starting after the 24th fret.
Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!

Check out the new band at - https://www.facebook.com/PerfectStormMetal/?fref=nf

I just read about the ESP custom mistakes and it appears ESP USA is not communicating clearly on orders to ESP Japan. Dealers outside the USA are not having any issues with ESP custom orders.
that seems to be the answer, but I know a dealer that did his order through ESP japan, and he got wrong color binding and a guitar that would not handle a set of 11s without bowing the neck.

so its the "translation" thats the problem. not ESP USA. its something else.

                          • "Effective today I will not be accepting any new Jackson or Charvel orders and will no longer be carrying the Jackson/Charvel brands at my shop."

Recently, I've seen two more advertisements for Jackson/Charvels from your store. Did your dealership status change again?

That would indicate to me that there would be no Jacksons or Charvels in the shop.
