bolt-on custom shop strat...tracy is very particular about his guitars, so i'd bet it's all original, the way it came from the factory...d.m.

If you really wanna know you could hop over to Charvel Central and ask ol' Tracy himself.

Can't tell on that headstock with that pic at that size...what does it say by "Jackson"?

        Can't tell if it's neck-through or bolt-on, either...anybody know?

I guess someone could order a Custom Shop guitar with rosewood and dots, sure, but is it?

My wild guess guess is an aftermarket graphic added to the guitar. If you wanted a graphic like that (or pretty much any other) added to a guitar, GMW could get it done, no problem. It would be the cost of the graphic ($600-1200 I'd guess, depending on the graphic) plus the amount of color/finish coats ($175-250 I think). Something to think about, if you have a lot of extra money, get it done to a guitar you already know you love to play.

I'm positive it wasn't a custom shop now. It's basicaly a Jackson Strat from around 1987 or 1988. As far as the graphic goes it looked like it could have been factory. Here are the specs on the one I saw:

One Jackson covered humbucker and one single coil.

          JT6 bridge

One volume and a 3 way toggle switch

          Bolt-on

Headstock said Jackson of course and in samll print towards the end of the headstock it said "Made In USA".

As far as woods it had a quartersawn maple neck without the scarf joint and the body was very heavy. Maybe it had a maple body too.

          $400 bucks...............I felt cheated.

Basicaly it looked just like the pic at the beginning of this thread.

            Re: Freddy Krueger Jackson

The Freddy Krueger graphic is a factory grahic. Again, not one of a kind. There were several of these....I know where one is at right now with a maple board. Lots of buckle rash on the back though. They may have hired a an outside artist to do it...but, they were shipped from Jackson this way.-Lou
