And Jackson knows that what 10 people on an internet board SAY they will buy is not what those same 10 people WILL buy if it is produced.
Start a thread in the Limited Edition section and see how many you get to commit on that KV.
Same thing for the 7-string Soloist.
I think you'll be disappointed, and rather than waste time and money on yet another production model that will not sell (which is part of the reason they were losing money before the buyout), let Jackson make the decisions on what will and will not be made.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Just like when people were showing interest for a Dinky with a maple board.
Actually COMMITTING on a limited edition custom has alot of other factors involved, i.e. having the will to pay custom price, being able to have that money tied up for up two years and to wait for such a long time. I don't blame anyone who decides against. And that's why we all want our dream guitar to become a production model.
The KV thread died waiting for a price quote from Matt, which we'll never get because Matt stopped carrying Jackson.
We'll always talk about what we dream of, and you are right, Jackson makes the decisions. Who said they shouldn't?

I could talk up the most awesome custom Jackson ever dreamed but without pictures or something tangible it is hard to get a commitment sometimes you have to do it. Look at how succesful the new Charvel line is.
Unlike Mr. Halford Warrior I am more in touch with what the current market wants and if given the opportunity could market SUVs succesfully.
Just like I market my machined parts I sell on line by offering what you cant get at above average quality and I listen to what customers want in my demographic.

The Charvel line had a proven 20+ year long history behind it, and as we've seen on this very board, a lot of people were expecting time machines. Didn't happen. The best part? Charvel got their money. If Tracy and Bret and Hellraiser and Tekky and Ralph and Maynard bought new Charvels but sold them immediately in disgust, Charvel got their money. The dealer got their money. The only person losing out is the one who sells it used.

Remember those 10 White BloodDrip Warriors OnlineStageGear did a few years ago? Plenty of people showed interest. 2 showed money. 2 people got a white Warrior with the BloodDrip finish, and one of them was Matt(OSG) himself.
Trust me, I know the feeling. I got kicked out of the Ask Jackson section for over-pimping the idea of a USA-made run of the JacksonStars NASL (and for hounding John Walker about a few other things)
What I think will sell (since it is stylishly similar to a PRS, which seems to be selling pretty well) doesn't mean Jackson is willing to roll the dice on it.
Yes I get ribbed for the Halford, and with good reason, I'm sure, but I'm sure Jackson's reason for not pursuing a USA-made NASL is just as sound to them as the reason to not throw out 10 stringthrough KV2s.

I'm sure there is enough interest in a string-thru KV. Like everything NEEDS a Floyd to be good, there are plenty of players that just don't want a Floyd and I'm one of them. Look at all the other companies, they all make high end models with a fixed bridge, Jackson does too but they are very limited and the KV2T looks like crap. Keep in mind not everyone likes to have a Floyd on their guitars, and I bet there are around the same amount of players that don't play trems anyway.
Just get some high-end models with fixed bridges in production... I don't see why that leads to bad sales due to not enough interest.

I'm beginning to thing that maybe there is something more at play? MAybe copyright infringement? I don't know.
But yes I totally agree that there isn't an actual KV2T. The Current KV2T is really not a KV2T, 3 and 3 headstock, no bevels, rounded fretboard, jumbo frets.
I like the Mahogany though..

And they would be viewed as Johnny-come-latelys since other brands have that pretty well covered.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
