There's a huge 7 string community out there (the Sevenstring.org forum has an immense amount of traffic), and most are hardly "fad" driven. I'd like to see Jackson take it seriously, as most serious 7 string players are perfectly willing to cough up a (reasonably) large amount of money to get a good 7 string.

On my old Jackson Stars 7-string Soloist, they used the massive headstock from the old '80s Jackson basses. Kind of funny-looking, actually. Most of the USA 7-string Soloists (and my CS 7-string Stealth) have a somewhat smaller headstock.
Personally, I prefer the 4x3 headstock on 7-stringers, and that's what I have on my KXK.

When it comes to 6 strings Jacksons are what I'm into, I then got into 7 strings and didn't have any option but to go out to another brand. Now I'm on stage player Schecter and Ibanez guitars, but if they come out with a decent line of 7 strings thats what I'd hope to be back playing. A nice Soloist would be awesome.
I think that people who associate 7 strings solely with nu-metal should probably get their cd collection updated, so many good modern bands are taking the 7 string and utilizing its full range. I think you can be fairly sure that these models will sell too, judging from the positive response over on ss.org.

It's just an extra string. It's not a crime
Look at the amount of shitty bands using 6 strings compared to shit bands using 7's.
Anyway. I have a COW 7 and love the damn thing. But would like Jackson to bring out more 7's that are affordable but have the same great quality of the COW 7. Maybe an SLS 7 or a Rhoads 7 but with a better designed headstock to fix neck heavy problems.93 USA Soloist EDS

First post here after lurking for a few months. I would love an import Jackson seven if it played like the COW 7. The one I played at GC shit all over my RG7420 and the LTD sevens I've played
