My buddy is facing a tough choice and I told him I'd turn to the wise members of the forum for advice. He has decided to sell one of his US Jacksons to pay bills associated with his divorce. He has narrowed his choice to either a 2001 Y2KV in black pearl or a 2004 SL1 in American flag graphic. I told him to keep the one that feels the best and will be played the most, but he's unsure. I also told him to consider the collectibility factor. What do you all think? If it were you, which would you keep, and which could you live without? Before somebody suggests it, I already told him to keep both to prevent the inevitable regret that will surely follow, but you know. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm with Super-shredder and his Kraft Cheese awesomeness on this one. If I had funds I would definitely do that for a friend in need. From a financial standpoint, I would keep the Y2KV because they're harder to find and probably will go up in price a bit, especially since Megadeth seems to be getting popular right now."Dear Dr. Bill,

Heck if I had a choice of which one to hold on to I would pick the SL1, but that's because I find them comfier most of the time."Dear Dr. Bill,

To make the decision even harder, or easier depending on how you look at it, I sold him the SL1 awhile back, so if I bought it, I'd actually be buying it back. He had bought it because he wanted a soloist with a graphic finish, and I had a lot of guitars at that time. I posted a pic of it somewhere on the forum not long after I became a member.
