I like both.It depends on the guitars overall attitude like paint or graphic.I do love the Jackson rev pointy.Rev strat heads are cool too.
Whats not to like about this one?
I dig the reverse Strathead, too.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
Certain guitars are cool with the reverse HS, while others are just as cool with the regular style. Variety is the spice of life, and all that shit... That said, If I ever get my hands on a reverse maple for my DK2M, I think that'd spruce that axe up nicely.
I like both variations for Jackson/Charvel but prefer the reverse pointy over the regular pointy. The Strat-head is my favorite overall - but I don't like reverse Strat-heads. I agree that the ESP reverse looks great - much better than the ESP standard, IMO. I don't like Ibanez' headstock in either direction. I really like the Robin reverse headstocks, like reverse Explorer headstocks, and LOVE the Peavey V-Type reverse headstock:
That is the only reverse headstock that I think looks better than its normal version. Everything else looks a little bit "off" to me.
I dig the reverse headstocks on my DKMGT and COW DK6, but I never liked them on the Rhoads.
However I like the stiffer feel of the low strings on the standard pointy more.
And since those two reverse headed guitars I mentioned above happen to be the ones I tune down to B standard, the floppier feel is even more noticable. (ok, that only applies to guitars without locking nut though)
I like the standard pointy quite a bit more than the reverse. The regular Jackson pointy is just such a great headstock, and I think the reverse one points up a bit to much for my taste. Like somebody else said, I think that some of the straighter headstock styles, like the ESP, look better reversed.
I like both.....I have to say, in my opinion, the Jackson headstock is the best looking headstock of any guitar.
+1000
I played reverse headstock Jacksons for years. Always preffered them over standard. Now I have two standard pointys and a standard strathead (well, sort of) and I like them fine but I sure miss my reverse headstocks. I like guitars that turn heads. Jackson pointy headstocks are by far the most attractive headstocks ever. And when they are reversed, it makes them stand out even more.
while all in all i prefer reverse headstocks but i think it kinda depends on the model
Kelly -reversre
Warrior-reverse
King V- both look good
Rhoads- both look good
Soloist/Dinky - regular
