I'm not new here. I posted a thread showing my homemade neckthrough star. I also have been reading this site for some time. It has created lots of GAS on me and its hard for me because i'm only 18 and don't have money to buy a charvel or a jackson (not the cheap ones).Charvels and jacksons are hard to get from where i live. So i made mine:
It is my first build so its not perfect but the action and sound are great.
I have another guitar:
Its the fender toronado. Its an hot rod guitar
. It sounds great but the build quality is not that good. The frets are worn to the point that they are flat on the top and it only has 2 years.
I'm already planing another project for the summer. It will be a strat with one pickup and possibly a single coil on the neck. Its going to have a tremolo. I'm deciding between a gotoh floyd or a schaller floyd. I might also put a vintage tremolo. I'm thinking on doing a charvel vintage flames paint job. The neck is goint to be a maple strat neck with jumbo frets. I have some technical problems because the necks radius is 9 and it might not be compatible with a floyd rose bridhe and nut. Puting a locking nut on a neck is also hard.
This forum is much better than ultimate guitar. Atleast here the members have experience with gear and know lots of stuff.
