+1 on v-ampire heads they sound great. As a matter of fact I have been giving my GMX1200H 1/2 stack(V-Tone) a sound thrashing the last few weeks and it sounds killer.Took it to jam with some guys and they concoured.
They had never heard the Behringer stuff and were stunned how tight it sounded.
        Really? well screw Mark Twain.

p.s. and btw...the new charvels i have played have been just as good to me as my old ones...so i wouldn't feel bad at all taking a bunch of those out to play...

My current rig is gold, I think:

                  Marshall JCM 800 2205 head - modded
                  Peavey 5150 head
                  Marshall 1960A JCM 900 cab
                  iSP Decimator ProRackG rackmount noisegates
MXR 10 Band EQ (fx loop of JCM 800)
BOSS SD-1 - modded (in front of JCM 800)
                  Furman PL-8C rackmount powerconditioner
                  KORG rackmount tuner

I usually drive my cab stereo and blend the JCM 800 and the 5150 to get a nice tone going. The raw mids of the JCM 800 for the crunchy Slayer/Sepultura sound and the 5150 for the tight bass and texture.

I'm using ESP and Jackson guitars with EMG's. And I'm not buying another Jackson untill they release a regular good-looking KV2 with a string-through bridge.

I'd definately bring my 95 SDIII

                    And the DK2M

And after I replace the Duncan designs with Dimarzios, the BOF

As far as amps, I dunno. I like the Vox I've been using (AD50VT 2x12) it definately beats my Marshall Tone wise, but it's a little limiting on switching. maybe I'll just get another one w/a switch box

For my pealboard, I'd bring My Talk Box, The Bad Horsey II, Line 6 Dr. Distorto, and BBE Boosta Grande. The Vox has got everything else I need.

"Goldenboy" strathead jackson mutt, slsmg, with heartfield talon4 and dr3 backups. JSX w/marshall 2x g12t75 and 2xv30 speakers, ts10 in front. If I'm flying just the two guitars, fx and the vamp pro I've just started using again (the jcm sim with all the knobs at 10) into the desk.

It'd be my SLS3 and SLSMG, my Green Screamer, Engl Invader 100 and Orange cab.. I'd need to find a MIDI footswitch of some kind too.

My gig setup, which is the result of years of acquiring and sticking with what I liked, is:

Les Paul 59 Historic with Motor City Detroiter p/ups
1973 Strat stock apart from refret with taller wire
(Alternatively I often take one of the Jacksons out)

                                Marshall JTM45/100 running Mullard ECC83/GEC KT66
Marshall angled cab fronm 1969, 25 watt greenbacks

                                Pedalboard from hell, with (IIRC):
                                Time Machine Boost
