• The "Randy Rhoads Six String God" DVD

Well, I got it.

It is by far the best quality of anything I have seen so far. I am not sure what to use to compare it by, but you can actualy make out the Jackson logo on whitey in a couple shots. A couple of the camera angles look like what you would get with a VCR off the master. The sound quality is also better than anything I have heard to date.

I couldn't even sit through the Quiet Riot stuff on the other tapes I have with the exception of the 2 Whiskey songs. There is a solo he does with Quit Riot I am not even sure is on any of my tapes. He does alot of the stuff he does in the Solo on Tribute and he does bits and pieces of Dee.

The Whiskey stuff is the only place this lacks. I have about the same quality on a couple tapes.

It is laid out nice with Menu's but "Believer" from 81 is mis-labeled "Little Dolls".

At the end is a slide show of Randy pics while Suicide Solution from Tribute plays.

The first frame kinda says it all:

The fottage contained on this DVD was compiled
by life-long Randy Rhoads and Ozzy Osbourne fans.
Until their estates make this fottage commercially
available, this is the only footage of this calibre.

Digitally remastered for archiving it’s historical signif-
icance, the footage you are about to experience will
never be seen in better quality. This is the closest to
perfection you can get with footage of this age.

Make no mistake about it, this is NOT the masters realeased by Ozzy, but it is the closest I have seen so far and if you are a Randy nut like myself, the high price of $60 or so new is worth it.
