Just wondering if this would be an upgrade from a JT-580 off of a DK2M trem or is the Takeuchi Japanese trem better made and better quality than the asian made Original Floyd Rose?

Ayerton on the Seymour Duncan forum and I think he is a member here also was trying to tell me the OEM OFR (Asian OFRs) were superior to the Takeuchi Jackson trems or even the Gotohs. He went so far to say the only difference was the machining and the country of origin. I posted the SUhr rant about the crappy quality of the chinese OFRs and the original poster selling the trem closed the thread before he read my response.

+1 I have 2 old ones and have had several recent ones. Later OFRs are not the same in quality. From poor fitting screw heads (as in easily stripped out) to malformed saddle grooves, and even had one where the slots where the locking screws go through (out the back) where way too big. It wouldn't stay it tune cos of all the slop.
I buy nothing but the old ones nowadays
