My 1987 Model 2. Originally had a Kahler. This guitar was assembled after all the mods in about 30 minutes, including strings. It just works and feels solid. I wish my Soloist felt as good as this...

If I had a PC-1 it would be my number one, but out of my guitars, My Model 3 is my fave. I've had it for 14 years, and it's never let me down. Love it!Gear: Charvel Model 3, Marshall Reverb 30, Fender Squier Telecaster, Digitech GNX-1, GHS Boomers and a whole lot of Dunlop picks.... Oh, and a Hohner Harmonica - key of A

OK Wilksy I got your back on this. It's my WR1, my only Jackson purchased brand new (back in 2004). I got off to a rough start with this guitar. Although impressed with it at the store, the honeymoon was soon over. It was very dark sounding, and was kind of buzzy and pingy all over. My troubles started after bringing it to the Guitar Denter for a setup and change to 10's. I soon came to accept the fact that it was a tone dog, and it remained that way for a year or two. I then put a SD Custom pup in there, still sounded like shit. Worse, I learned that I am a "ham fisted" player who cannot adapt to the Jackson volume knob location. The volume would slowly roll off with every note played. I later experiment with FRED/PAF pro pups (not much better). FINALLY...I get in touch with an old school setup guy. He tells me that the stock frets need to be dressed because of a slight twist to the neck. I get the guitar back, and am BLOWN AWAY by it. Wanting to get back to SD's for the "Jackson Sound", I go with a Custom Custom / Pearly Gates. What a phenomenal combo in this guitar! Finally I get the courage to move the volume knob to the tone position, and put a 500 Kohm resister in the cavity. At that point, it was like the clouds opened up and rays of light shone on the guitar. Moral of the story: don't be too quick to trade away those tone dogs!

My Burton tele has the paisley flames paintjob, but that is the ultimate. Very jealous.
I saw a close custom shop version on the DCGL site recently I think.

My Dominion Riverbed is my number 1 , i have had a ton of jacksons mostly usa and most of them have come and gone, but this one has always stuck around. I hated them when they first came out, until i saw a wine drunk hanging on the wall , in person its a different guitar i went home that day and couldn't stop thinking about it and how good it sounded and played about 2 weeks later i ordered this one and with its new mods and case its my go to guitar that i love to play!

Awesome guitars, guys! Not sure I can pick just one....
The Model 1 is just perfectly worn, and perfectly simple.
The Model 2 plays fantastically, has an Evo 2 in it, and it just rips!
And I am really digging my first San Dimas, one of the TMZ Naturals. Just got it a short time ago. It is superb.

My #1 is this GMW Empire.. (this may get some competition soon, with
my 3rd GMW Empire #07 ! (hardtail) But for now it's
#25 Green quilt EMPIRE strat SDs in it, and they are perfect tone merchants!
The "Why" its my number 1, is that it just feels perfect..i forget it's there..
transparent, in it's ergonomics... like an old pair of underware...speaking of
underware...NO i wont post it !! LOL
#2 is my Charvel CS HRF... it's a bad mo fo'!
My #3 is suprisingly a $400 axe! It's a 94' USA Custom Ibanez with the thinnest, narrowest neck ever! 1 and 9/16" wide!
Wizard necks thin? This one is literally 1/2" thick overall at the nut! Zero tension neck with a 3/8'ths Rod
thru the entire neck. Brass bow in the back of the headstock/neck joint.. this thing is effortless to play! Real Dimarzios in it...
This will be my graphic project to Mike Learn soon~!
