I think they are vacuum fixtures. Probably slap a slab of wood on there, hold it down with vacuum and then it is placed in a CNC router. The fixture would have alignment features to accurately place it in the CNC. Just my guess.Originally posted by Axewielder View PostComment

I think the one with the pao ferro board might be my neck-through Charvel while being built. IIRC, it was done right around the same time as the bullseyes. The pics seem to consistent with the figuring on the fretboard and neck, too.
