        I think they are vacuum fixtures. Probably slap a slab of wood on there, hold it down with vacuum and then it is placed in a CNC router. The fixture would have alignment features to accurately place it in the CNC. Just my guess.

                I think the one with the pao ferro board might be my neck-through Charvel while being built. IIRC, it was done right around the same time as the bullseyes. The pics seem to consistent with the figuring on the fretboard and neck, too.

                                glad to be of assistance shreddermon. Thats cool that I saw your guitar before you did These shots were taken in mid January 2003. What does your hang tag say out of curiousity?
