  • Jackson LTD (Concorde) Questions

    Hi guys,

Ok, so i know that Jackson do not offer the LTD in the custom shop anymore (why is this?)

I dont want to pay $6,000USD for one off ebay.

Where else can i get one?

    or

    Get one made?

I know of one person who makes them but has a looooong waiting list (does them in his spare time)

My local luthier can make one but i have no idea of spec's for the guitar.

I am from a small country also, far far away... so no access to a LTD

    Anyone got any ideaS?

    Cheers
    Halford

$6000 from Ebay. That's it. These were made in limited numbers so there wouldn't be thousands of them out there. Unlike most other sig models like artist-sig Strats, this is something that you don't hear many people saying "yeah, I've got one of those".

If it was a production model, yeah they'd sell a lot of them, and collectors would boo-hoo about it, but the original just wouldn't have the same "specialness" because "everyone" would have one.

Look at the EVH models - the copies and the "Official" copies. Yawn. Everyone and their mother has one.

Personally I disagree with the LTD run to begin with - Randy's should have been the only one. To me it dilutes the Rhoads/Jackson heritage on two fronts:
1: It's "for the Collectors", which I disagree with on principle alone
2: The "slobbering fanboy has his hero's guitar" issue.

    But that's just me.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

        That's a regular RR1 body, though.

It does look neat. I actually prefer it to the Concorde body.

what is about a luthier building ONE guitar, exactly looking like a Jackson.
Will he get in trouble if Jackson/Fender will get to know about it?
Or are they just able to say "dont do any more of them!"?
