That sounds like a lot of to me, that just isn`t right, this situation is starting feel really bad Here is one for you, the dealer I ordered my SL2H with back in August, just talked to the Rep of Jackson about 1 week ago, and said they lost my order and they have to put me back in line, as in the back of the line, isn`t that Special Jack.

The back orders which will be completed nayhow are going to the Fender warehouse and will be offered to dealers in the USA. My running order was subject to happen the same.
Because of my dealer asked Fender about my order (and rescued it from the warehouse), Fender started a new order, and it will be treated like a new Fender order and Fender pricing applies.

what a rourt arse way to operate, that's like changing a clause in an official contract...cough*telstra broadband*cough.
try to get your money back somehow, unless you're willing to pay. Was your custom that much different to a USA select? if not, just get a usa off matt
Cheers

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">eh, expensive to the europeans he means. The dollar is collapsing and the Euro is going ballistic. this means they get more dollars for the same amount of euro's compared to the current rate. so basicly you are scr3wed by fender if they do so. I wonder whether it is legal the way fender acts. at the very least it is not ethical or customer friendly, even for US companies (which tend to be a little less ethical then european co's, no offence to the americans, but is my conclusion as a business science student )

I think the issue here may be more between foreign distributors. Fender already had their own European distibution chains so the old Jackson distributors got dropped. If Fender's distribution chain(already in place) raised prices, that's NOT very cool.

About the Euro Distribution, Jackson prices here in the UK have dropped loads. About half the price of what they were on most models. DK-2s were like £600-£700 RRP< now they're like £379 and £429 RPP for Graphics, where graphics were £800 or something stupid.

The problem is solved.

Thanks of Kevin Easton, I was able to let the responsible people at Fender Europe to be aware of my troubles. The sales director remembered that he committed that my pre-Fender order will be delivered through the pre-Fender distributor. Accidentally, his colleages didn't know about. Now, my guitar will be delivered as committed by the pre-Fender distributor at the agreed price. Fender apologized for the mistake. Everything is fine now.

I thought I'd sit back and watch this one... anyway, your guitar has been on order since December. We DID and DO honor past sales; however, AMIC didn't provide us with an accurate open order report - which makes it REAL difficult!

Just for the record Toby's guitar was on order way back when my bigmouth was first ordered. So if they are show December there must be a clerical error somewhere ..

No, that's when we got it into our system... the guitar is about done. I told Kevin to let him know that it's in the Rub Rack... Anyway, it was tough trying to find out who ordered the guitars in the Custom Shop ... the last thing I want to do is build someone's dream guitar and sell it to someone else!!!

Anyway, he's getting his guitar, so it's a good ending...

Re: Fender trys to cheat on pre-Fender orders?

I am very grateful to KEvil.

I ordered the guitar at Mai - 17 - 2002. The work order sheet says order date June - 12 - 2002. When I had a phone talk with the sales manager at Fender Germany last Monday, he told me that he didn't had my order in the computer before my dealer asked about last week. I can imagine that it can be difficult to integrate a company from one corporate group into another. Anyway, I am glad about the good ending.
