    Hey everybody I'm new here,but not to Jacksons I have a Soloist number J 0110 in red with s/s/h can anybody tell about it.I bought it in Chicago in the early eighties from Makin
    Music its the best guitar that I have ever owned

    [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] WOW! That is a VERY early Soloist! It is a 1984 San Dimas era Soloist. That is the Mike Shannon design versus the newer recessed trem models.
    The main difference in design is that your neck "falls away", or is tilted down as it runs towards the headstock.
    This was the creation of the great Mike Shannon, luthier extrodineire. VERY nice playing axes, one of the best designs in shred history! [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

      Does that hing have a Floyd or Kahler?
      If it has dot inlays, it is a sudent model.
      If it has sharktooth inlay, it is a custom model.

      Since you are new here, I'll break you in:

          Thanks guys it has a kahler,shark tooth inlays and is the best guitar I've ever owned I'll try and post pictures later, yes it is the best guitar if you want to shred, bar none.My next guestion is, its not beat but it's showing it's age,restore it or keep it stock.If I keep it stock what model should I get to replace/retire it a Shannon,I've heard that this is the cloest to being the same as this guitar,any advice forum members. how hard would it be to find a slime green shannon,I know there rare.Thanks again I'll have some more guestions lately
