    just like to start off with thanking the powers that be for letting me join what seems to be a cracking forum .

    i was hoping that someone may be able to shed some light on a Jackson soloist i picked up around xmas time , its a few yrs old that i do know , but i'm trying to gather some info on this lovly shredding masterpeice . right this is the bit stuck on the seriel number ........ it is located on the last fret and is follow 010045 thats it any help or at least a point in the right direction would be great

      thank very much , unless i'm missing something i cant seem my number there they all seem to start with a letter first , mine has only numbers

          No i cant get pics up yet , but here are some more details


          s/n 010045
          22 fret
          rosewood fretboard
          Translusant Red / maple flame body
          Jackson logo with just the copyright R only
          2 humbucker with 5 way switch , semore duncan ( one of them is ment to be a jeff beck one )
          crome Tremelo with Jackon writern on the top , ( i belive this the be made by shaller )
          crome pickup surrounds

            I can't remember if the first letter or first 2 are the year. Sounds like a SL4 made in japan either 2000 or 2001.

                forgot to mention , its a neck through as well , with a super strat neck , dont know it that make a diffence .

                  Sounds like an SL4 to me.
                  All Soloists are neck thru BTW.
