There is no way it's nitrocellulose. As "tone-preserving" as it may be, it looks like crap on factory-assembled guitars and it makes the neck sticky as hell.
All my jacksons have had a rich, beautiful, durable finish, so I am thinking polyurethane, or at best, some sort of synthetic laquer. Does anybody know what they have been finishing these guitars with over the years?
