I also don't think getting the guys from Slipknot, Korn, or "A7X" would help either. Jackson needs to get the people in the popular metal bands. Take your pick from the screamo bands. Those are the bands with the 15 year-old fans who will convince their parents that they need a Jackson or else they won't sound like _______. We're old enough to know better.
I think if Jackson landed a Guitar Hero/Rock Band deal, we would see a huge increase in demand for the brand.
This would be the best way for them to spend money hands down. Get the RR in there it would totally sell because that game is all about being over the top. Get the logo and the name out there again it is actually perfect and the cheapest way of doing it and would benefit both GH and Jackson IMHOI keep the bible in a pool of blood

Screw MegaDave. Bring back the real father of the King V, Robbin Crosby. Make Big Red a production model KV1.
Those clamouring for a Y2KV will be dissappointed due to the 'gentlemans agreement' over body shapes and the headstock. The only way to get a Y2KV present and future will be on the used market.GTWGITS! - RacerX

And I'm pretty sure Dave Mustaine played a Rhoads model before the V. Look at the studio footage from the "In My Darkest Hour" video... it's a blue RR with pink bevels.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

As for all the Dave bashers, call me a fanboy or whatever, (But I am bigger than most of you so do it at your own risk...lol) but Dave Mustaine rightfully BELONGS with Jackson. When he left he was bitter in life and music. Basically right after going thru all that crap with his left hand, then thought he was gonna be the new owner of the company then the last minute Fender slid in and outbid his deal. Even after that, Dave never said Jacksons were bad. I remember him saying "They may still make a quality guitar....but I don't really know enough for an opinion." With ESP the first batch he got were good, but then the 2nd run and Axxions left much to be desired to the point thet he gave the Axxions away. (I remember Drover had a white one) This all culminated with that fated night he threw his DV8 down because it wasn't working. That right there probably shut the door on ESP. After that he was poised to sign back with Jackson, but almost like poetic justice, Dean Zelinsky swooped in and offerred more so he went there. Fast forward a year, and Dean leaves the company because the new leadership changed manufacturing facilities and cut corners and he couldn't put his stamp on that quality at such a high price. Don't think Dave Mustaine doesn't see that too.
He'll be back this time next year....that's my call.Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!

The Y2KV will not return even if Dave does. It's a Gibson shape, and having the Y2KV violates the "cease fire" between Gibson and Fender.
Sub-brands are included in that "cease fire", which means no Gibson shapes for any FMIC brand.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
