I dont think Dave has Trash talked Jackson at all.
Lisent to this vid from namm, turn to 5,oo and lisent.'He also says that he likes Dean very much, but we will se in the future if he will be back or not.

Dave Mustaine talks about his new signature Dean guitars at the Dean guitars booth NAMM 2009

And one problem with him returning to jackson, if they did reintroduced the y2kv, it would be a us select series axe, and no high end import, so all the teens out there today couldn't affor one, only you old guys, so the sales wouldn't se any increseas at all imo.
    Tell me about it!

Why? They already did a bolt-on import version of it when he was still with Jackson.

I know FMIC has done great things for the Jackson brand, BUT I would like someone to take over because they do alot of stuff I don't like. I've heard that they force dealers to buy a certain amount of USA Fenders before they can buy a jackson, or else they'll have to pay much more.
Jackson needs a little push here in Norway. I notice that the metal players in my area are playing Ibanez guitars. Sadly I think Jackson has to follow their formula: Make cheap guitars with thin necks. I've owned a fair share of Ibanez guitars and none of them sing like my Jacksons do. But many guitarplayers doesn't notice the difference in the wood.

Also the Y2KV is like the Dean V, with the cut-aways, they wont be able to sue.
And the reason I got into Jackson's is from my friends Warrior, and how badass it looked. I loved it almost as much as I now love my Rhoads. Jackson's are my favourite brand even to this day.
I hate to thread jack this, but IMO marty is more interesting then dave anyways! This is the second time I've heard Marty is no longer with Ibanez. Can someone give me some clarification on this?

Contract expired a while ago. I noticed his sig was gone ages ago, and then somebody on this board mentioned that the guitar wasn't there. Figured he had a new one coming out, or he got dropped off Ibanez. His site says he's still playing Ibanez, but in an interview with GW he said something about just playing the guitars he likes now, and also, the new Betcha Can't Play This is going to be with Marty, and he's playing a PRS singlecut there. Not sure how recent either one of those are.

Ah, I thought his signature just became a Japan exclusive. I noticed the different guitar in the new betcha can't play this, but he seemed pretty head over heels for ibanez. Oh well, maybe he put the crack pipe down.

Yes, but there was never a "formal" import model Y2KV. Those guitars were just a one-off special run of imports. IIRC, they were actually special ordered by a dealer (DCGL, I think?) before Jackson imposed the restrictive "special run" rules we all now know and love. Jackson probably said yes at the time, to let the dealer be the "guinea pig" and test the waters for a possible budget-priced Y2KV import model later on down the road. And the test failed. Poor sales, so no model was ever done.

And the back talk rumors of Musty-bones possibly buying J/C way back then are utter BS. Even if he had that much money (which he doesn't), they'd doubtlessly be bankrupt now due to his poor management and/or oversight.

Wow dude! Are you his accountant? Manager? Who told you it was BS? Honestly I believe your "opinion" to be B.S.

Are you secretly Kerry King? Or are you posting for him? Mustaine did indeed have a bid in (highest before Fender) and had PLENTY of bank at the time. Ellefson tried to sue him for like $20 Million which wouldn't have broke him so, I wanna know your sources.
Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!
