Didn't you just post an anecdote about Dave (not) saving someone from suicide?
Evidence?

To the question - I think it'd be cool to see Dave playing Jacksons again. I don't really have a problem with him badmouthing ESP or whatever - so he said they were great when he first joined them, then realised they weren't and was honest enough to say so? What's the problem?
Dave and Marty are probably the unofficial faces of Jackson to anyone around 32 years old who love thrash metal. Like me.
Sure Marty's cooler in every way but Dave is still a massive part of Jackson's history, like it or not.Last edited by MartinBarre; 04-05-2009, 05:00 AM.

No, what I'm saying is that no one who wrote those quotes into the interviews has ever written anything to raise a doubt. Unless you've seen otherwise somewhere? Right. So, unless someone else of "relevance" contradicts him, everything Dave says must be true.
You do realize that Dave himself is just another "common blogger", too. He's a guy, a dude, a real person. With real faults. Semi-fame doesn't make him any "better" than any of the rest of us. ...Well, he might think that it does. But, again, just because DM thinks or says it, doesn't mean it's actually true.

In that philosophy, anything anyone says about anything might not actually true. You're forming an opinion based solely on your feelings about Dave. The Y2KV placed next to a Flying V is much more different than any of the guitars are to their respective counterparts. The only thing the Y2KV and Flying V have in common is that they're both V shaped.
Now compare Kramer as a sub-brand to Jackson as a sub-brand, and you'll see Jackson still has a realistic market position relative to the one they had back in the 80s. Kramer has achieved laughably-sad status thanks in large part to the MusicYo stint, and then by being swallowed by the Imperial Gibson Fleet.
I think it's safe to say that Jackson has a much larger market-share than Kramer, and those Vanguards pose no threat to the Jackson RR. However, with the Relevant Artist Attachment on the Y2KV, which the Vanguard lacks (note, dead people who used it don't count, nor do the ones who used one "backinnaday" and no longer do so), means the Gibson Flying V will have stiff competition on the USA-made market rather than just "low-end import vs low-end import". The Vanguard vs the JS30RR, anyone?

I would love for Dave to come back to jackson. He hasn't used the Kahler bridge in his Dean or ESP guitars, so if he comes back to Jackson he'll probably use a stringthru version of the KV1.
Speaking of which, I used to have a KV1T... I miss her.
