It's a PS3T, and they were made in Japan and Korea.

          Not India
          Toejam is correct
          Ser# indicates Korea
          I can only give you a year range: 1995 - 1998

Just ignore the fact that all the catalog pics up until 97 show the PS3T with a 24 fret neck yet the specs say they are 22 fret.
They finally fixed it in the 98 catalog.
22 fret neck in the pic and the specs.

Didn't want to start a new thread.

Can you figure out something from this serial:

                  9818989
                  Said made in Japan.
                  It's got two EMG HZ.

The tremolo doesn't say licensed by Floyd Rose, just says Jackson on it.

Here is a picture of it:

                    Your guitar is a DXMG.
Crafted with the demands of the discernible player in mind, Jackson guitars give you the shapes, finishes and tones you love. From the venerable Rhoads, Soloist, Warrior and more, shop Jackson for the highest performance.

Older model, say 2004 or 2005 maybe.
The current DXMG's have EMG 81/85 pickups in them... no more HZ's.
Ignore the spec sheet on the web site... it still says they are HZ's, but as usual, the web site specs are wrong.

Thanks for the info, how is the trem on the dxmg, could I fit a FRO ?

It's for sale here locally, the neck is straight and the frets have no wear, how much would you guys pay ?

A Floyd will fit on the route with room to spare.
But don't write the JT-580LP trem off just yet.
Play it for a while. You just might like it.
                        Decent trems.

I have just tried it at the store so it doesn't really count.

How long do they last, I'm not talking about Van Halen/Steve Vai action just regular playing with some whammy action ?

And how much would you pay for one ?

Is it normal that the trem doesn't say Licensed under floyd rose.

Sorry about all the noob questions

It has the "Licensed" stamp on it somewhere.
They all do. Some put it on the underside of the base plate or even on the spring block.
The JT-580LP is a decent trem and will last for many years.
I have had some that were 10+ years old and still working great.
Just depends on how much abuse you give it. Same thing applies to a Floyd.

                              Armann...

I'd look to change those pups before changing that tremolo. The tremolo is adequate, especially if you're not going nuts with it all the time, but the Hz's just left me feeling weak in my DKMG. I put in some Blackouts, and love em to death, but they seem geared more towards metal. I'm not sure what you play, but a better pickup in general would be my suggestion.
