SLSMG, who's played one

Im just reading a thread below about this guitar. Upon checking it out, it seems quite interesting.

Neckthru, satin finish, 24 frets. Hmmmm, how does that neck feel(satin compared to tung or clear coat), whats the best $$ on a guitar like this? I think it may be a good means to fill my GAS for a neckthru Jackson fixed bridge (seeing as how no one wants to sell their Import archtops [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img] )

It's a sweet guitar. Real thin neck all mohagony body and neck. Neck thru and string thru body. The neck feels fine there really is no differance to me in the feel between the gloss and satin or the oiled neck. The EMG-hz seem a little thin too me even in the mohagony. once I finally pay mine off Ill probably swap out the pups to Duncans of some kind.

Roy Johnson from Crankfish also plays SLSMG's. The necks feel somewhere between a satin finish and a gloss painted finish. Yeah, cop-out answer, but it's the truth. They're nice and smooth while looking better than maple, is that a better answer? [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

I didn`t realize how many big players played Import Jackson`s, I am a little shocked, but not too shocked I guess. They can afford the USA stuff, but choose the Import stuff, I wonder why? Jack.

Hey now! There's just something about the SLSMG and some of the other import stuff that's pretty happening. I was talking to Mark from Lamb of God and on the last two tours he played a PS3, with no problem! I know that Ben from Evanescence has an SLSMG, it may not be his #1 - but it's what his custom is modeled after.

One of the guys from The Haunted sometimes plays Jacksons (I remember seeing a couple pics on their website not too long ago, Soloists or Dinkies with dot inlays, from what I remember).

Dallas has curly hair, Karl's is blond and straight. Karl's got a PS3 and uses it on tour. He recently put a Jackson headstock on his Strat! All the talk about "Strat heads on Jacksons", and KARL puts a Jackson head on a vintage Strat ... you gotta love that!
