    WTF is this thing and why is it on the back of my headstock??!! Plastic, stick-on, about 3/8" wide... It's really bugging me!

    it's for holding one of those allen wrench contraptions.
    plastic handle molded around two sizes of allen wrench

      Poor mans tool holder for the Floyd.
      Looks like you're missing a few pieces.

      Pop it off and get a proper Alan wrench holder.

          Yep. It's called a Trem Tool. I put one on the back of my old Kramer in the late '80s. Here's the missing piece.

              Yup,that is the answer.. instead of sticking the a cig in front and burning the headstock.

              They put these fatty holders on the back,so that nobody can see the whats really burning.
