  • Do I need a Schaller Floyd Rose???

I'm working on my first project guitar. I bought a Charvel body and I think I need a Schaller Floyd according to pictures I've seen. I have 6 Jacksons to compare it to, and I know that the cavity on the Charvel is way too small to accomodate a JT500 or 580. At a glance the body is similar to a Charvel Predator (except for the bridge cavity) and the neck pocket is stamped 3DR-7. Also, did Charvel use different screw patterns for bolt on necks or all they all the same? 22 frets? Thanks

I believe a Floyd Rose II will fit in place of the Schaller version, if that helps.

The Floyd Rose II I got is made by Schaller.

I've got a JT-6 (which is what the 3DR came with) and a JT580 LP (Squared baseplate) that should fit in there.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Technically, all of the real Floyds are made by Schaller in the same factory anyway. The Floyd II is just a little smaller in size than an Original Floyd.
