What I like about the Loomis is that it's not obvious that it's his signature. It's not like those terrible Avenged Sevenfold models. It just looks like a different model.

7-string SLSMG is the way to go. Normal body thickness with SLS headstock would also work fine. Hardtail and floyd models please.Comment

I play 7 Strings in my band and play with a Schecter Loomis. Because it's less expensive than the Cow and have 2 PickUps.
I would appreciate a Jackson 7 Strings SLS or KV. Without Floyd just string thru but with 2 Hum.Jackson & Charvel abuser ...Comment

Still have my near-mint DR7T that gets played every once in a while...good fun when I'm looking for a change of pace. Will probably replace the Duncan Designed's with EMG 707's one of these days though...Crime doesn't pay. Neither does lutherie...Comment

Please make a 7 string soloist with 2 EMG 707 and a floyd rose. Even if I have a SLS3, I prefer the normal pointy in line head stock. For the body, an archtop soloist would look great (see the Chris Broderick custom Ibanez). I think that passive pickup are too muddy for 7 strings (from my experience on an RG7 620 and a Universe). Thoughts:
As mentioned before, a double humbucker option is a must for increasing potential sales as well as offering both Floyd and string-through options. Keeping the traditional alder body should work fine for preventing mush (IMHO).
Body styles I would go with the DK and SL first, there's just something that looks a little unbalanced in a 7 string RR I can't put my finger on.
Pickups are going to be interesting: EMG 707s would be the obvious choice but would make pickup replacement more difficult. SD Blackouts would allow for passive retrofitting but I believe there is a cost factor to consider (more expensive than EMGs?).
Anyhow, would I buy say a DK2-7M oh hell yes!Comment

I just picked up a used DR7T from Ebay. They're getting more scarce to find in decent condition used, and are usually snatched up pretty quick.
Would like to see a neck-through model w/ dual hums (preferably w/ Duncan Blackouts so if I wanted to switch to passives I'm not hosed on the pickup route), 24 frets, Original Floyd Rose 7 string bridge.Comment

I'd personally love to see all the current USA selects get 7 string versions added. If I had to a choose a specific model I'd say the Soloist. The only downfall is the huge ass 7 string version of the standard headstock.Comment

Well, Guyver did the normal size headstock with his 7 string and it turned out fine right? Granted, his is a reverse headstock but I don't see why it wouldn't work on a non-reversed :think:.
