7 string in RR shape is working pretty well, if you know what you're doing. Check out what Amfisound from Finland does:

Has anybody custom ordered a standard normal size headstock 7 string? I think Jackson should do it that way if it works.
That's right, Guyver had his cut down. Looks great.

a new kelly or rhoads 7 would sure make me go out and buy a new Jackson! for a regular shape the market is too crowded with Ibanez and Schecter...

Related question: will The CS do baritones again or do I still have to stick with other manufacturers for seven strings?

25.5 scale tuned to B just sounds like a fartfest to my ears....doesn´t matter if it´s alder, nahogany or basswood, I just find them muddy as hell...

my KE-7 is fitted with elixir's .010 - .068 strings, and doesn't sound muddy at all. quite some attack and snappy response there I know some use .072 for their low B as well. maybe that might make the diff?

I love my COW7 .. most people would like a "better" 7 string. Every Jackson 7 would be great

But it would be cool if there would be an "entry" level 7 string... just more affordable version... just like the Ibananaz 7321 or the Espee Ltd SC 207...

Just like the old DR7 DX7's ... that would be great

an .070 on a 27.5" scale sounds and feels perfect to me

tim... start using some proper pickups

but yeah, a longer scale 7 string does sound better IMO

I'm going to go out on the wierd tree here and say I'd like to see a 7 string Dominion, with similar electronics to the current one. (Passives and coil taps.)

I just can't think of which headstock shape would go with it. The wierd tree part of me says reverse pointy the size of guyvers, while the logical part of me says SLS. I doubt you could pull off locking tuners on the smaller headstock though.

Now if you actually want to sell a bunch the safe choice is soloist/dinky.

Since I can't find a secondhand rhoads 7 atm and new they aren't up, I just bought me a xiphos 7 to go with my kelly and my warlock 7.

                          edit: painful typo

As stated above, PLEASE MAKE THEM!!!! I'm a jackson whore, so I really don't want to go to a different company to get a 7 string. I think any model of 7 string would do well, but maybe the RR24 or KV in a 7 string version? I'd prefer neck-thru, but bolt ons to keep the cost down is also acceptable.

Cool idea would be to reissue the original King V shape, the larger one. I actually like that size better than the current production size.

I imagine a 7-string would look better with a larger KV body. And while I'm at it, reissue the original size KV shape for 6-string as well.

I am looking for a 7 string. But, like my 6 strings, I want a neck through.

Isn't the COW only bolt on? The only neck through 7 strings I can find on the market are an Ibanez Warrior looking thing and the ESP M307. There may be others, indeed the BCRich Bich series might have one by now.

I would also want a Kahler trem and original active JE circuit on 7 post J80C's.

I guess I am asking too much.
