There's a Doug Aldrich Jackson? I had no idea, gonna have to look this up. Doug's on fire on the new Tim Owens album.

Neck profile is different. It's a bit beefier and fatter than other Jacksons I've played. It has a little more of a C shape as opposed to a flatter profile. As for features, it has a dinky body, scalloped frets from 12-24, Humbucker in the bridge and single coil in the neck, reverse headstock, reverse sharktooth fret markers, angled input jack (like an ESP Kamikaze), and a tapered neck heel area (no plate). I've been a big Doug Aldrich fan since the first Lion album so when one popped up in 2001 I jumped on it. I have the Psyco G-B version which has a rosewood neck. I like it better than my '88 Soloist. I say if you have a line on one with an acceptable price, go for it. Just know that it is not a typical Jackson neck. Hope that helps.

thanks rob, im hesitant to get one as the neck sounds like its the same as a caparison horus (probably because they have the same builder/designer) and i couldnt stand the way it felt, might let the offer pass
