If that's the case, then he has my apologies.

They at least got a cool new shape when Mark Morton designed his MM1 Dominion, which resembles a Firebird a tiny bit. One of the best guitars they've ever put out, too, even if some people don't care for the shape.

    ???

What does these guitars have to do with the topic?

The Kramer Vanguard is an offset pointy V. (very much like the Jackson Rhoads and nothing like the Gibson V or Firebird)

The Kelly Star and the King Kobra are different models. The Kelly Star is basically a mix between a Kelly and a Rhoads. And as established, the King Kobra is more or less a pointy star. Similar, but not the same. And how on God's green Earth does the Demon remind you of the Vanguard? If you want a guitar company to build someone else's designs, why not just jump ship to ESP? I just find it amazing that so many people on this forum bash ESP and Ibanez for stealing everyone's designs and yet here some of you are wanting Jackson to do the same damn thing. You want a round-horn Jackson V? Well, make it happen, work within Jackson's rules. (which is where I came up with the flat-top rounded Rhoads) As Newc said about the Gibson shapes done in the past, that ship has sailed. Either deal with it, or be prepared to sell a kidney to help finance the purchase of one of the existing guitars.

Dimebag designed that, and was a subsequent signature model for him. Albeit for a short time before he left washburn.

I hadn't seen that one before, It looks like an offset Dean ML. If you want a rounded V-like design, why not try a Washburn Culprit or a PT60?

    The art of compromise ......

That had me thinking a tad differently, as I've just recently told the wife I'm going to sell some guitars off(compromise) and NOW I've just gotten the worst case of gas ever!!!!

    Possible pics to follow!!!

Why the hell would we give up on what we want? That gets you nowhere. I will keep asking about the Firebird until I get one.As a matter of fact a dealer contacted me about the possibility of getting one done.....Again why would I "give up"?

I think many of us had moved on but there was a glimmer of hope very recently that some of the policies might be relaxed. I am sure I'll be able to live with myself if it doesn't happen but if it does I do see another custom shop order on the horizon.

Yes, fine, you want a Firebird with 24 frets and compound radius and Floyd and all that. You missed it, it's over, move on.

You want a Roundhorn V with sharkfins and Jackson headstock and your big "guitars I wanted when I was a kid" collection. It's gone, you missed it, move on.

You want the Explorer with the 5A quilted top and abalone zigzag inlays and string through and a fuzzy hole in the back to rub your knob against.
    Let it go already.
While I do fit in to that category in both Firebird and the Explorer (which I'm not as vocal aobut, but the explorer is my favorite body shape behind Firebird and in front of the Rhoads.) So I guess our only option is really warmoth right now. Which is not a big deal, IF that is the ONLY possibility.

OK, hadn't really seen a King Kobra in a while. I know Brad has a couple, but being more of a strat/tele guy I don't really pay too much attention to the other shapes. (with that said, I do have a Charvel Les Paul shape though )

And I remember the Ultra V. Just forgot about it when I started the thread. So what about a flat-top rounded rhoads? Where's the photochop folks, can't they mock something up?
