The only thing a Gibson and Jackson guitar are likely to have in common is the body shape itself. Almost all of Gibson's solid body guitars were designed in the '50s and '60s. They typically use set neck construction, vintage tremolos, mahogany necks, vintage Gibson pickups, nitro paint, 24.5 scale, and most have pickguards. In the '80s Jackson unveiled a new era of guitar construction and features, and they offered guitars in these classic shapes with modern alternatives. There is no reason Jackson can't continue doing this, and It's a shame they refuse to offer these options to their customers who want them.
Furthermore, why is FMIC honoring agreements it makes with it's biggest competitor? Aren't these two companies supposed to be competing for our business? FMIC should stop honoring it's competitor and start honoring it's customers by making the guitars their customers want.
