  • Jackson V ABS flight case....

    Just saw these online recently.

    * Specifically designed to fit Jackson RR and King V guitars
    * Heavy-duty aluminum channeling
    * TSA locking latches
    * ABS exterior
    * Handle

    Has anyone here seen (in person) or used one? I'm curious. Want to get one. Would make it easier running around the city in that, than the big rectangular ones.

    These are the new cases that come with the V guitars now. Someone here (I believe it was KBRR) got a Matt Tuck signature Rhoads model with this case. Hopefully he can chime in, because I think he deleted his pics and review.
    I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

      yeah, I remembered KBRR's post but I couldn't find it. I've dropped him a PM to see.

        My Demmelition V came in one. It's a great case, very sturdy and heavy duty. I was told that it's an approved flight case as well (by TSA). The compartment is a good size, too. Nothing wrong with it that I can see.

          Looks like a unit with a split sack.

            If it's this one you're talking about: http://www.thomann.de/se/jackson_mul...rsalkoffer.htm

            I must say I was really disappointed after buying it. First of all: It fit my King V, but my RR24 just didn't fit properly at all. When the body was in fine, the neck didn't align with the case, and vice versa. I don't know if my RR24 is crooked or anything, but I believe then 'body cavity' in the case is to tight for a rhoads.

            Second: The balance is crap. It's very very neck heavy. Holding it in the handle will have the neck end almost touching the floor. I've moved the handle a bit forward to get a better balance...

            But wow... Buying a Jackson guitar and a Jackson case, you'd think it would fit perfectly without any modifications.
