  • Allright!! New Pickup Day!!!

Sweet! Got my Kelly back with the D-sonic installed!!! It sounds pretty damn badass so far, it cuts through the mix amazingly!! Still tweaking a little bit, but I definitely recommend this pickup.

It cuts through better than I would have imagined, I heard it was a pretty bass-heavy when I was looking around for info. It's got plenty of power to it, and is still very clear and articulate. Very middy, so it gives a great crunch when I'm going for teh brootalz

But what really surprised me about it was the cleans. It's got a beautiful clean tone. Even in the bridge, and with the midrange the D-sonic has, it wasn't nasally or harsh AT ALL. Somebody at Dimarzio knows their shi t. I have no idea how they managed to make such a well rounded pickup, but damn, they did.

I tried flipping it, and honestly I can't tell much of a difference. I'm gonna try again soon when I can really crank it up

I've been considering this model too....until I noticed they just recently unveiled the new Crunch Lab DP228!

It's John P's sig model I guess, after a few tweaks to the D Sonic.

I've had good results with all the Dimarzios I have.

Yeah, I saw that the second I got back from Murphy's. I can't complain, though, it sounds killer
