  • Charvel Charvette

    Hi All,

I have a Charvette I bought new years ago. If I look down the neck from behind the guitar my fretboard is straight on the low e side side but dips in on the high e side....

    1. Can I fix this? I tried tightening and lossening the truss rod but it doesn't work.

    2. I was looking for a replacement neck but i think my Charvette is a 24.75 scale length. From the nut to the 12th fret I get 12.25"...Can I install a 25.5" scale neck?

    Thanks

    No you can't switch.
How many frets? unless it's 24 frets it's 25.5 scale. if you have 12.25 to the 12th fret that's a 25.5 scale neck. if it is the shorter scale you will need to find a fusion neck, charvel or jackson.

      It's 24 frets...but 12.25 X 2 = 24.5"

oops, I was tired. go back and measure and your self because it's either 25.5 or 24.75 not 24.5.
Since it's 24 frets you will need to find a fusion neck. The toothpaste logoed charvel necks should be the right scale and there are some jackson necks that should fit.

Is it worth the hassle? Do you really like the guitar?
