EB 9's thanks. If we're talking standard tuning here.
        Eb would be EB 10's.

Lower than that the Hybrid Slinkies are great.

I've tried about every brand/model out there......everything from flatwounds to pure nickel to boring ole' nickel plated steel. I always end up going back to D'Addario EXLs ranging from 9-42 to 11-49 depending on the guitar/tuning.

Ive tried different string brands on my Jacksons over the years but the ones i get the most response from is GHS boomers, yet strings like amps & guitar types are too a personal preferance so whatever your ears & hands like i guess.
I dont get scared but i do get shocked!!

                I use DR Tite-Fit 12-52 in standard tuning /Dropped D and GHS 7 string Boomers sans High e (makes for a 13-60 set) in D /Dropped C

D'addario, mine seem to last a good while, digging on 11's now for drpo c, and 10's for standard, drop d, or Eb

things to remember to get more string life, wash you hands before playing, wipe strings with a dry cloth after playing, and dont leave you guitar sitting in a dust filled room to collect grime, i always stash mine back in its hard case with a few of those silica gel dehumidifier packets tossed in, but i live in southern MS where them drying my guitar out and causing cracking just really isnt possible

I use EB Regular Slinky *10s - 46s* myself and on my Jackson I am using the eb regular slinky Titanium reinforced strings and love them.. I am thinking of changing my strings on my lp to 12 or 13 for C tuning do the same on my strat. My Baritone I have to use the Regular Slinky 7 String and just use the 56 - 13 and leave the 10 off because finding regular 56 - 13s are a pain in the ass in my area..

                        Cheers,

                            RR1T... GHS Boomers Low Tunes 11-53 for D tuning/Drop C.
MM1 Dominion... Carvin strings (really Boomers in Carvin packaging) 10-46, E tuning.
Dinky HX... DR Hi-Beams 11-50 or EB Power Slinky 11-48, D tuning.

My two Hamers get the Gilmour signature Boomers... one gets 10-48, the other 10.5-50.
