10s in standard , on my dinky
skinny top heavy bottoms on rhoads
        11s on my les paul
        and 12s for drop C

        all ernie ball

their acoustic strings suck imho , ive just put a set of the expensive coated ones on my ovation and they sound like shit. il stick to EXPs

I only use Ernie Ball or D'Addario depending on the best price for 10 or more. I prefer 9's for E and 10's for Eb.

DR Hi Beams, both 10's and 9's depending on the guitar. I used Super Slinky's for years.... I could rust them in hours. Thought that was just the way it was.

I have DR's on all my guitars now- I'm a convert. They work for me. Have been for 2 years. I bend pretty hard, and haven't broken one yet, which given my past experience almost seems impossible.

did anyone mention any quality issues with d'addario strings lately?
somehow my latest sets didn't last as long as they used to, they tend to have a sticky feel to them and I even had some strings beeing slightly rusty right out of the box?!
I've been always happy with my d'addarios (and I will give them another try for sure, simply due to the fact I still have about 10 packs... ), but I just wondered if somebody else ever had this kind of problems.

well, with earnieball, I've only bought some of these once (a set of 09 super slinkys) and these colored off soo badly, my frethand was black within minutes of play. I had no idea what was going on there...
and I dig the d'addaria overall feel and sounds, that's why I kept them.

somebody knows wether strings get bad inside the packing? it has been just the last packs of d'addaria which where rusty, I really can't explain myself why?!
maybe I got an old dusty pack that has been sitting in the store for ages...

That would be my guess. I purchase in bulk from high volume distributors so they don't sit around long.

DR-strings are best, longest lifetime than any other strings.

EB 9's. I've only ever snapped a string when it's on a cheap guitar.
