  • Jackson ps 4

    Hi guys!
I´m new here, so be nice ok?
In Sweden where I live I have seen this used PS4 which they are selling for 250 USD. Is this a good price and how is this guitar to play?
I used to have a Charvel many years ago and that is probably the closest to a Jackson I´ve been, besides checking out mmy friends new Jackson RR5, which of course is a whole different axe. But it was so nice to play.

I have also been checking out the RR3. How is that one?
    Thankful for all help.

That seems a little high to me, maybe $200 in great condition with a case. But, I don't know how often they are available in Sweden, so $250 may be a good price there. They do have great, thin necks. I had a trans blue PS-4 many years ago. The original pickups are crap.

Yeah, I'd go with this. I have a JDR-94 which is a similar guitar and I paid just over £100 for it in excellent condition.
The RR3 is a higher quality guitar especially if you get a newer one with genuine Duncan pickups in it, so expect to pay more for it.

Thanx guys! Hmmm... maybe I should go for the RR3 then?
They do tend to go for a slightly higher price here though. They sell new ones for 500-600 USD.
I+m heading off to the guitarshop tomorrow and see what+s out there.
        Thanks again for your answers

Try a few, check out the internet for the one you like the look of best, then get it second hand.

I would agree! - It is amazing what you can save! I saw a jackson fusion pro HH (retail around £1000) go for £166.00 this week on Ebay!

Keep your eyes peeled and keep sniping!

                Regards

                  Hello everyone!
Today I went to the local guitarshop and checked in to see what´s out there, and here´s what I found.
I tried a Wasburn X-series with 2 EMG pickups, a Ibanez RG 320, and finally when I was about to leave the store, with no hope left, this guy in the store pulls out this magnificent lovely Jackson DXMG.
Only 4 strings on it, dusty, but in mint condition.
Apperantly this used to belong to someone not capable to see the beauty nor the power this guitar posseses.
But they couldn´t say how much it would cost until they had fixed it properly so I wll have to wait for them to finish it.
They sell it new now for almost 800 USD, so I´m not sure how they will sell it for.
In the classified ads I have seen this model been sold for 500USD.

I have yet to check out the PS4.

                  Rock on Jackson lovers!!!

Keep an eye on ebay, you can get great bargains on there. I got my JDR-94 (same guitar as the PS4 I believe) for UK £110. I got my KE3 for £140 including hard case. And I got a DK2 with no trem (easy to source) for £110.

PS-4 are very nice guitars with CHEAP hardware, keep a look out on the bay, find one with a serial number that starts with a 9, there made in Japan, and very nice

add a set up pups and a Scaller and your set

necks are also ridiculously thin on these

                        Hi!
The DInky I tried out had a serial number that started with 9 and it said it was made in japan. It even had the plastics left back on the gotoh tuners.
                        It felt really nice.
