  • Some opinions on a guitar...

A friend of mine is willing to sell his Jackson Dinky but he doesn't know how much he should sell it for.

It's in good condition except for a chip in the paint, a missing tuning knob, and a broken input jack.

I said 40 dollars but he isn't sure and wants a second opinion.

      40 dollars? Are you serious?

Like the two posters above me implied, any Jackson Dinky, even with those problems, should be worth more than 40 dollars. Most will be worth a lot more than 40 dollars.

But, for any of us to give a good price we need to know what model it is. There are lots of different models of Jackson Dinky out there.
        I like maple fretboards. :P

Seriously. A broken jack is nothing to correct. 3 minute job.... and that's if you actually have to replace the jack.

'Cause his friend LIKES it when he kicks him in the nuts right before bending him over and ass raping him.

Most the the issues are fixed - truss needs a little relief. Fixed the knob, shimmed the neck, new set of strings. Sounds pretty good thru my Stiletto. Now we just gotta find a place to hang it!

Stilletto Duece 1/2 Stack, MkIII Mini-Stack, J-Station, 12 spaces of misc rack stuff, Sonar 4, Event 20/20, misc outboard stuff...

Why do I still want MORE?

                        Yea - he's mine. I'll try to get some pics - nothin fancy though. I think it's a dx-10. H-S-S, bolt-on, vintage trem. Definitely worth 40 bucks!

                            Sounds like a JS 20.

I'm curious. Have you seen the guitar? If not, then how do you know that the neck didn't need shimming?
